The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, December 7 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) will offer Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a job at Chancellor Winters.
Also coming up, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will have a run-in with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd). Plus, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has news for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). And Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) comes up with a theory.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will arrive at the Abbott estate. He’ll tell Jack and Diane he had an interesting conversation with his mother about Tucker. Billy will say Jill thinks Tucker and Mamie are trying to force her out of Chancellor Winters and she wants him to join her at the company. Jack will ask if he’s considering it. “She feels outnumbered and outgunned,” he’ll reply. Despite that, Billy will tell Jack he’s not going anywhere. “But the thought of reinforcements gave me an idea.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Tucker, Jill And Mamie Trade Barbs
He’ll say they should work with Jill to neutralize Tucker’s threat. Jack will say he thinks the idea has merit. But Diane will question whether Tucker is even coming after them. “Everything’s just a game to him.” Jack will reply that Tucker wants them to feel the pain he feels. “Maybe this slow, steady torture is just one gigantic head trip. A huge, meaningless mind game.”
Meanwhile, Tucker will approach Jill at Society and ask if he can buy her a drink. She’ll immediately tell him he has zero chance of ever getting his hands on Chancellor Winters. He’ll sit down with her and Mamie will walk in and see them together. “What’s this little tete a tete all about?” she’ll ask, as she walks over. They’ll trade barbs and Jill will tell Mamie and Tucker they’re underestimating her. “I don’t care if you’re in cahoots or not, I’ve got a big arsenal in my back pocket and if you push me, believe me I won’t hesitate to use it.”
However, Tucker will tell her she’s an army of one and she’s running scared. “I feel sorry for you, but unfortunately for you I’m not backing down,” he’ll continue. “Who’s to say I don’t have an arsenal in my back pocket too?” After he leaves, Mamie will admit she doesn’t trust Tucker any more than Jill does. So, Jill will ask Mamie to prove it and tell her what Tucker was planning. “Why don’t we call a truce?” she’ll ask. “If I didn’t know any better, I would think you’re suggesting that you and I work on the same side,” Mamie will reply.
Then Jill will head to the Abbott estate and Jack, Billy and Diane will discuss their Tucker theory with her. “If it is, his plan’s really stupid, but I can’t afford to ignore it, can I?” she’ll say. Billy will tell her they should form a united front and turn his mind games back on him. Jill will agree with him and she’ll say Mamie should work with them too.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nate Says They Won’t Regret It
At Crimson Lights, Nate will tell Devon and Lily that if they’re going to tell him he doesn’t have a shot, then he doesn’t have to listen to it. So, he’ll get up and start to leave. “Or you could sit back down and listen to what we have to say,” Devon will say. Lily will say they want to believe he’s learned from his mistakes. Devon will say they’ve been warned by the Newmans.
“I think the only way we can move forward is to move on from the past,” Lily will tell him. And Nate will be surprised when Devon says they’re willing to give him another shot. He’ll say he’s touched and humbled. “I’m gonna make you proud,” he’ll tell them. “I promise, you won’t regret this.” Then Lily will take a call and Nate will ask Devon how he feels. He’ll tell Nate it will work if he wants it to work. “I actually do think you’ll bring a lot of value to the company.” Devon will add that Lily’s a big believer in second chances. But they’ll all be keeping a close eye on him.
“So that’s how it’s gonna be, repeating the past,” a perturbed Nate will reply. “You constantly breathing down my neck, waiting for me to make a wrong move.” And Devon will be stunned. “You haven’t even had your first day and you’ve already got a combative attitude toward me.” But Lily will interrupt, when she tells them there’s a wildfire surrounding her daughter’s campus and she’s on lockdown. So, she’ll say she’s heading there.
Finally, after Lily leaves, Nate will thank Devon for the job opportunity. “Lily really does believe in you,” Devon will tell him. “So if you screw up and you break her heart again, I’m done.”
